Summer Play: Aesop’s Fables (ages 7-15)

July 10-21, 2017

In this two-week session, the students will be living the life of a summer stock performer and will be challenged to put up a play almost entirely on their own! This session encompasses all aspects of the Theatrical Arts, including rehearsal, design, construction and performance. Students will see their show come to life and enjoy the rewards of performance. The students will be in charge of the theatrical design of sets, costumes and props, and will also bring those designs to life, using skills they have mastered. They will be challenged to assist in direction and essentially will create their own production from the ground up.

About the Show

Four of Aesop’s best loved fables…  ’The Fox and the Crow,’ ’The Hare and the Tortoise,’ ’The Donkey In the Lion’s Skin,’ and finally, ’The Fox and the Sour Grapes,’ are delightfully created in this interesting approach to storyteller’s theatre.
